A four-storey building collapsed in Bapa Nagar of Karol Bagh area of central Delhi on Wednesday morning. Four people including a teenager died in the accident. While 14 injured people are being treated in Lady Harding and other hospitals. The deceased have been identified as Aman (12 years), Muqeem (25 years), Mujeeb (18 years), Mosin (26 years). A factory making women’s shoes and slippers was running on every floor of the 25-yard building. The building was more than 30 years old and was in a very dilapidated condition.

At the time of the accident, 20 people were working on different floors of the building. All of them were residents of Rampur, Moradabad in western Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. In this case, the police have currently registered a case under sections of death due to negligence and negligence in repairing the building. The owner of the building is absconding and his mobile number is switched off since the accident. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the entire matter.
